Siemens gas turbines to be loaded in Rotterdam – Next Goal is Egypt
The first gas turbines for the record order from Egypt arrived in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) and will be loaded there on a heavy load carrier. The turbines' journey from Berlin Westhafen port to the Netherlands took just shy of two weeks. In Rotterdam the two H-class gas turbines will be loaded directly from the barge to the heavy load carrier. In the process, 890 metric tons will be lifted in total by the ship's onboard cranes. From Rotterdam the heavy load carrier will travel to the south and to the Mediterranean Sea through the Strait of Gibraltar. The cargo arrives at the destination port of Adabiya on the Red Sea, passing through the Suez Canal.
